Pet Laboratory & Diagnostics in Denver, CO

When people get sick or injured, they go to the doctor, explain their symptoms, and receive the
appropriate care. Diagnosing health issues with your cat or dog isn’t so easy.

Diagnosing Health Issues with Your Pet

It’s instinctual for them to hide signs of illness for as long as possible so they don’t look susceptible to prey. All the while, the condition worsens, and as pet owners, we have no idea this is happening!

This is why we rely on pet diagnostic services to get the answers we need. These tools and technologies allow us to conduct an in-depth evaluation of your pet’s health, both externally and internally. By gathering a complete picture of your pet’s condition, we can diagnose and treat problems in a timely manner. Faster diagnosis of illness and injury vastly improves the chances of a positive outcome for your companion. We offer full-service diagnostic care, both routine and advanced, to better manage the ongoing health of our patients.

Digital Imaging and Radiology

In some instances, a physical exam and lab work simply aren’t enough to effectively assess your pet’s condition. That’s why we also offer digital imaging services. X-rays allow us to look inside your pet’s body to learn precisely what’s ailing them. We use imaging to evaluate the bones and internal organs, identify injuries, diagnose illnesses, and determine their severity. Images can be analyzed by our doctors in real time or shared electronically with specialists if needed.

Ultrasound

Our hospital offers ultrasound (sonogram) examinations as a non-invasive diagnostic procedure to evaluate your pet’s internal organs. Ultrasound is used to examine the abdominal organs, reproductive organs, eyes, and heart. Ultrasound is non-invasive and well-tolerated by most pets. In most cases, ultrasound is relatively brief, and your pet is able to go home the very same day.

Endoscopy

We also offer endoscopy as a minimally invasive diagnostic procedure to evaluate the health of your pet’s internal organs and tissues without having to perform invasive surgery. Endoscopy can be performed through a small incision or another opening in the body. A small instrument is inserted into the incision through a flexible tube, which allows a very clear view of organs such as the stomach, intestines, and airways. It can also be used to perform biopsies.

Laboratory and Bloodwork

Our hospital features an on-site diagnostic laboratory, which makes it fast and efficient to run a wide variety of tests. In many cases, we can have results within minutes. This means we can have a treatment plan in place before you and your best friend even leave the exam room. The ability to run blood work, urinalysis, and other tests in-house is especially beneficial for critical cases when time is of the essence.
